Ryan has over twenty years of experience in financial services.
Originally from Sydney, Ryan followed Sally back to her hometown of Launceston along with children Tillie and William.
It was here that he launched his very own successful brokerage business, which today has grown to become Blue Gum Loans.
When he’s not at work making people’s dreams come true, he enjoys supporting community and sporting events along with spending time with family and friends, gardening, boxing and travelling.

Sally has spent much of her career in Sydney working across the marketing and advertising space.
Upon returning to Tasmania (and with just a little encouragement from Ryan), has transitioned into the finance sector, becoming the other half of Blue Gum Loans.
Sally’s client-facing role means everyone is greeted with a smile, and no one ever feels out of their depth.
When she’s not at work ‘Dreaming Big’ with her clients, Sally enjoys days at the beach, spending time with family and friends and baking.
Blue Gum Loans is owned and operated by Ryan and Sally Pendergast, who saw a need in the Tasmanian market to offer a brokerage service that was easy to navigate and cost-effective for clients whilst still providing access to all the benefits of Australia’s leading lenders.

Having a young family of their own, relocating from the mainland to Launceston, and moving house more times than they care to remember, Ryan and Sally know first-hand that life rarely stands still.
“It’s really important that as your life changes, your lending requirements can adapt with you,” says Sally.
“Life can be stressful, and whether you need to upsize, downsize, refinance, buy a new car, start a business or take a holiday, navigating the lending process needs to be straightforward and stress-free, and that’s why we started Blue Gum”.
Ryan and Sally bring over twenty years of experience to Blue Gum spanning finance, professional services and sales and marketing, and whilst their roles have changed, the one constant is that it will always be about people.
“We love getting to know our clients, their hopes for the future and making their dreams a reality,” Ryan says.
